Thank you for your interest in the Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship's programs.

For our Emerging Editor Fellowship, applicants must be documentary editors who have cut at least one feature documentary (longer than 60 minutes) but no more than three and are based in the U.S. The 2020-21 open call begins February 3, 2020 and ends March 13, 2020. Applicants will be notified of their status at the end of June, 2020.

For our diversity program, we're looking for editors at all levels of experience who have a strong interest in documentary editing and want to deepen their knowledge of the craft and expand their community. Potential applicants are identified by industry veterans through a nomination process. Nominations will be solicited in the fall of 2020.
